Baby Jogger City Mini Jogging Strollers - Green-Grey Reviews
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Love the concept, not as practical as I thought, February 1, 2010 By Chrissy (Lansdale, PA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Baby Jogger City Mini Jogging Strollers - Green-Grey (Baby Product) So I loved this stroller and everything about it from it's look to the shade to the ease of folding and lightweight stature. Unfortunately I wanted this stroller to be my only stroller and thought it could be with the infant carrier bar added on. Then I wanted the parent console for the extra storage and the baby tray for when my little guy grew. When you add it all up the stroller ends up costing close to 350 and with the items added on, the ease of folding decrease. In addition, the infant carrier never felt sturdy to me and one day the front wheel randomly fell off. Also with the infant carrier on it you could tip the stroller over with very little effort and so I could never leave the baby in it without having one hand on the stroller. These were safety concerns to me and I wasn't willing to sacrifice safety for style and ease of use. One other practical thing is that the basket underneath was too small for my diaper bag and hanging the bag on the handle was enough to tip the... Read more
4 of 5 people found the following review helpful needs improvement as an infant stroller, September 30, 2009 By This review is from: Baby Jogger City Mini Jogging Strollers - Green-Grey (Baby Product) We own the City Mini Baby Jogger in Green. It was our first stroller, and we bought it partially because it was compatible with the Graco carseat. We have since purchased the Graco SnugRider Infant Car Seat Stroller Frame, because the Graco carseat fits much more securely into that. The optional carseat adapter allows you to rest your carseat on the stroller, but it doesn't snap in and doesn't feel all that secure. I would recommend this stroller for older babies who do not need a carseat adapter. On the other hand, this stroller is one of those that you can use pretty early on, because the straps can be adjusted fairly tight. As soon as your baby can hold his head steady, he can use the stroller itself. My baby used it at 3 and a half months.
It is not a bad stroller, especially for the price, compared to some of the more expensive brands like Peg Perego and Bugaboo. It has a lot of style, visually. It has a lot of optional accessories, like a cooler, a drink/snack tray,... Read more
2 of 3 people found the following review helpful great lightweight stroller, August 20, 2009 By This review is from: Baby Jogger City Mini Jogging Strollers - Green-Grey (Baby Product) This is a great stroller! I started putting my little boy in it when he was about 12 lbs, and he fit just fine since all the straps are adjustable. I use it mostly for walks around the neighborhood and it works great. I purchased the parent console to go with it, mostly for the added storage and cupholder. It works great for holding a cellphone, keys and water bottle. The best part about the stroller for me is that you can easily push/guide it with one hand. I walk with my dog, so I can have his leash in one hand and push the stroller with the other. I love the sun shade too! It offers great protection at all times of day.
The only down side I can forsee is that the wheels may wear out quickly. My little town doesn't have many sidewalks, so we walk on the bumpy road and sometimes on gravel roads. It's not really meant to be an "off-road" stroller.
